Daryl Rhys Taylor Micazook Test One More Beer Final

This is a test I was asked to do for Micazook as part of an application for a 3D animator position.
I had to examine this animation called "One More Beer!" (www.vimeo.com/50522981) and I had to duplicate the posing and timing as best as I can. Here's my best try.

Disney to Acquire Lucasfilm

I'm actually not that surprised by this news. George Lucas has talked about retiring for a while and Disney and Lucasfilm have a partnership going back decades. Both Star War and Indiana Jones feel so much part of Disneyland that in one respect it feels like they have finally come home.

As for the news of a sevenh movie I say don't be naive people. I've heard rumours about Episode 7, 8 and 9 for years now. I mean get real, Star Wars is a globally recognised brand that will never go away. And how to you keep a brand fresh, by suppling it with new content. Besides I think Star Wars actually needs some new content, how many times can the go over the first six movies. It was inevitable.

Halloween - I don't get it?

Would someone out there please tell me why residents of the USA make such a big deal about Halloween. No one else in the world makes such a big deal out of it. It's not like Christmas which is about family, and being nice, and at least you get the day off and a present. Halloween you don't get the day off. There's a buch of horror films on the TV, but horror films are stupid (why would I want to watch a film where all I would be is scared, it's like voluntarily getting major surgery). Trick or treating is just irritating  door bell ringing all night, and the fact that people use Halloween to scare people isn't funny it's just annoying. Halloween is like putting a poo on the end of a stick - a bit pointless.

Only fools and Horses Mike talks about Walt Disney Comics & Stories

Some of the best comics ever. If you think you know Donald Duck, you really don't.

The funniest thing ever put to television. I would urge every resident of the United States of America to find and watch Only Fools and Horses.

Colouring Practice plus images from the Internet

Well, I'm in full swing on working on my children's book idea. I have a story that works, page descriptions and character names so to practice colouring in I drew this up. It represents my four ideas

Tag the bunny from "Animation Station" - a series of short cartoons about a bunch of odd characters putting together an internet show (Heh if people can do it, why can't cartoon characters)

Doodleboy from "Doodleboy and The T-Squad" - an all ages superhero comic about a living child's doodle and a bunch of cartoon powered brothers who fight against the strangest things from imagination.

Stitchbag from "Grim Soldiers" - A side scrolling beat-em up game about a scarecrow, brought to life by the grim reaper, to stop the god of chaos from destroying all reality

and

Diggory Sparrow from Diggory Sparrow and the Isle of Quakamakapooka - My children's book idea set in 1936 about mysterious islands and houses that turn into planes.

An image for tellywebtoons British Art collaboration on deviant-art. These two I last drew when I was in college.

I was told by Disney that my drawings were too Nickelodeon/ Cartoon Network, not feature designs so to practice I drew up this quick Glen Keane-esque bad girl.

A new character Timothy the Tyrannosaurus Rex

I don't usually do this but I couldn't resist posting up this images. It's so true.
