Requests and News

I have some good news at the moment. I working voluntarily on a Television Pilot. No pay of course, but it should be experience for my reel. 2 minutes of 2D animation is a lot of work but it will be worth it. I'll post more when I find out some more.

Mt thoughts of the Escape Studios Pixar Masterclass

I had a great time at the Pixar Masterclass that Escape Studio held in London. I really learnt a lot from Andrew Gordon and Matthew Luhn. Thanks a lot. I did realise however that I got a long way to go, so time to make a new showreel. Off I go!

Drawings, Jobs, Contests and Pixar Masterclass

Hi,

Firstly these are some drawings for a freelance job I was applying for. Unfortunately, by the time I entered the job was already given to someone else, even though the client said he liked my work more.

This is a entry to a character design contest by Stephen Silver. It's a memory sketch of a guy I saw in front of a GAME store playing Pokemon on his DS.

This weeks DAC Challenge. It was the uplighter in my room.

Two more requests.
I liked this one because I got to draw characters in two completely different styles.

Tomorrow I'm going to a Pixar Masterclass at Escape Studios. It should be great.

Colour!

I just decided to colour some of these images. I hope you like them.

My entry into DAC's Chris Sanders challenge. I hope I got his style down.
My entry to DAC's Goku challenge. This was tricky.

I just wanted to colour this picture.

Bugs Bunny copyright Warner Bros.
Spongebob Squarepants copyright Nickelodeon.

What I have been up to?

During the last few weeks, as well as working on a new reel and applying for jobs, I have also been doing specific tests for internships. I didn't want to put anything up here until after the due date in case someone stole my idea, but now I can.

My entry into a Disney Interatcive studios internship. We had to come up with a game concept for an Alice in Wonderland game, based on the new Time Burton movie. We could present our concept in any way we wanted, so I chose to do an animatic. I decided that a Alice in Wonderland game should be an sandbox stealth action puzzle game. Like a cross between Sly Cooper and Escape from Monkey Island.

I also working on a story internship for Blue Sky Studios where we have to draw a storyboard in less than 60 panels about a cat stuck in a tree. I post about that after the due date in April.

New Doodles and Requests

Just some new doodles and requests.

This weeks DAC challenge is to design a character in the style of Chris Sanders. It was a challenge that I hoped I pulled off.
Just a picture of the three most famous cartoon characters in the world.

My versions of some of my favourite DC and Marvel superheroes. Some of these I like more than others.
My final two Totla Drama Island Requests.

Requests and Thanks

More Total Drama Island Requests.

My entry to the Design-A-Character Goku Test. I personally found this tricky to draw Fanart, mainly because I cna't help but try and draw the character as accurately as possible and I feel like it's not as good as the original. So I decided to attempt another artists style onto Goku, Chris Sander's actually.
Oh and I received some of the nicest comments on my drawings on deviantart. I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has taken time to comment on my showreel or my artwork. Special thanks goes to Dave Pruiksma, Carl Gover, Linda Jones, J.P. Fosgitt, Dave Alvarez, Bobby Rubio and Chris Sanders. Thanks everyone.
