Doodles for later projects, Revising for ACCA exams and revisiting my student film

Currently I have been busy revising for my ACCA exams. I have them on my brothers birthday and I get my results on mine. Oh goody. Anyway I've managed to find some time to draw.

These below are to accompany the CG Models I have been modelling in Maya in my spare time, for animation purposes in my showreel.

So its been about five years and i decided to look at my student film. Boy its a bit rubbish. All i can see is things that i cut and things i cheaped out on to get it finished and also the things i did just plain wrong. Like trying to have an explaination story to what should have been a one joke film. Having two many characters. Having educational bit. Having two much lead up into the joke and not enough resolution afterwards. And fibally why did i make in 2D when the rest of my course was CG.

All Over!

Well it's all over. I gave the film in yesterday. A year of life finished. On the one hand I'm really happy that's it's finished. On the other I'm really sad that college is over. And on my mystical, invisible third hand I'm terrified about my future.I have my degree show on Friday and will be posting the film soon after. Stay tuned.

Last few Tweaks

Well the good news is that we finished the film for submission deadline for the 19th June. Now we have been given a few days to tweak up the film a bit. This involves doing animation for one scene that everyone felt was a bit static. We also had to changed the timings of some scenes because they were sped up or slowed down in the film and that created weird lines. Finally, a lot of clean up.

We need to hand the final film in this Thursday.

Nearly finished my student film

Well term is coming to and end. Oh I'm going to miss all my friends at college. Now I have to try and get a job! On the plus side, the film is nearly finished. Here are some screenshots to wet your appetite. Enjoy!

Nearly finished!

Well, it coming to the end. We're in the final few weeks of production on the student film and my college life. I really hope we finish it. Below is some promotional art I made for the film 'Insane Science Seeking with the Professor'.

Spring Term is nearly over

Wow spring term is nearly over. With all the dissertation work it just felt like it just began. I just spent the last few weeks colouring all my frames in photoshop, illustrator and Toon Boom, as it was suggested to me, with no luck. Than I find out that flash will do it just fine. What a colossal waste of my time! Oh well, least I know how to make the film now. Gotta go two weeks to dissertation deadline.

Why is directing so difficult?

You know directing a film, it's not as easy as they make it look in those making of DVD features. It's all like we did this and that and everyone gets along smoothly. It doesn't happen like that. Why is managing people is so hard?

Animatic and Christmas

Christmas Break is here. All the presentations went well. Got a lot of work to do, dissertations and working on the film but it's CHRISTMASSSSSSSSS!

Story Crisis

There's a story crisis at the moment. The ending needs to be much funnier. How can you be funny with essays to do and a deadline two weeks away.

Summer Holidays

Bringing units are over.
Time to enjoy a break.
Still got to think of an idea for my student film and research for my dissertation though.
