Backed Up doodles

Here is a massive doodle dump on the blog. These are all drawings I did just before and after Christmas, whilst I was (and still am) looking for jobs. I've decided I wanted to start off fresh so I decided to just put some I like all up here in one go. So here they are and I hope you like them.

Here is a drawing of the Toon fighting an escape platypus man that escaped from a cancelled 80's action cartoon.

I thought my bunny character should have a girlfriend and I just thought it was funny to channel an Olive Oyl vibe with this design.
Just a drawing of Grim Campbell my scarecrow reaper.
An early design for a wild exotic primate.
A collage of some of my favourite cartoon characters. There is Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tom and Jerry, Snoopy, Bloo, Powerpuff Girls, Earthworm Jim, Asterix, Bone, Mario, Batman, Spider-man, Kim Possible, Stitch, Scooby Doo, Roger Rabbit, Ariel, Fred Flintstone, Kermit, Sooty, Kirby and Spongebob Squarepants.
Drawings for bad-guys. I was going for a Jafar/ Sher Kahn vibe.
I like the sense of scale and the hand in this picture.
Girl Faces
Doodleboy unleashes his heat vision.
The essence of all animation. He can exist in all times, in all dimensions and all realities all at once.
December Doodles.
Bad Girl Faces.
Group Shot for the Animation Station.

New Showreel + DAC

My latest show reel. I put two extra pieces of animation done in Flash in, and a lot more life drawing, storyboards, concept art and pre-production work. Thank you Carl Gover and Linda Jones for all the suggestions. I also had to change the music too.

Here below is my submission to the Design_a_Character Group on Deviant ART.

Life Drawing and Doodles

Here is some Life Drawing practice I did of Top Gear yesterday. Guess which one is Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond.

I recently joined a great group called DAC on deviantart. They submit character design challenges. It's really good. Here is my entry for this weeks challenge.

As an aspiring animator I thought it would be good to practice drawing other peoples characters on model and on style. So I took some characters I liked from comics and such, drew them in different poses and tried to get them on model as best as I can. I hope I did well.

Yenny by Dave Alvarez

Wander over Yonder by Craig McCracken and Galaxy Girls by Lauren Faust
Kiskaloo by Chris Sanders

Dumm Comics, Big Pants Mouse by Gabe Swarr, Skadi by Katie Rice and Luke Cormican, Forg Racoon Strawberry by Kyle A. Carooza and John Berry
Dead Duck by J. P. Fosgitt
Alcatraz High by Bobby Rubio

Bastion 7 by Sean Galloway

Apart from that I'm just working on some more animations for my reel, doing some promotional artwork for it, some life drawing and trying to find a job. Sam old, Same old.
